Riffgame is a place to make and play games together, for people aged 13 and over. These rules apply to everything you make, post or share on Riffgame: prompts, games, titles, descriptions, usernames and remixes. They are part of our Terms of Use. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Not allowed
- Sexual content. No nudity, sexual acts or sexually suggestive games.
- Anything that harms or sexualises minors. See "Child safety" below.
- Hate and harassment. No attacks on people because of race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits; no slurs; no bullying.
- Real people. No games that target, mock or impersonate a real person, and no one's personal information (names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, school or workplace).
- Graphic violence and extremism. Cartoon and fantasy action is fine; gore, cruelty, torture, terrorism and violent extremism are not.
- Self-harm. Nothing that promotes or shows suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
- Dangerous or illegal activity. No instructions for weapons, explosives or drugs, and no promotion of illegal goods.
- Gambling. No casino, slot machine, poker, roulette, betting or lottery games, even with play money.
- Other people's games, characters and brands. Make your own ideas. Don't copy or name other companies' games, characters, logos or brands.
- Scams and spam. No misleading games, fake giveaways, links that trick people, or repeated low-effort posts.
- Gaming the system. No attempts to get around our filters, and no fake accounts or reinstalling to claim free riffs again.
Games that are fine overall but scary or more intense (for example horror) are labelled "Teen" in the app.
How to report and block
- Report a game: long-press any game card, or tap ••• on a game page, in the player or after you play, then Report. Choose a reason (child safety, sexual content, violence, hate, personal info, scam, copyright, broken game or other).
- Report a profile: tap ••• on the profile, then Report.
- Report an AI result: if the AI made something offensive, harmful or wrong for you, choose Report this AI result from the ••• menu of your game (in its build thread or on its game page), or from a build's result card, an AI plan or an AI reply in the thread.
- Block someone: tap ••• on their game or profile, then Block. You will no longer see their games anywhere in Riffgame, and they can't follow you. Manage blocked users in Me → Settings → Blocked users.
- Email us: support@riffgame.com, with a link to the game or profile.
What we do
- Every prompt is checked automatically before a game is built, and content that breaks these rules is refused.
- Every title and description is checked again before a game is shown publicly.
- We aim to review every report within 24 hours.
- A game reported for sexual content, child safety, hate, personal information or self-harm by a signed-in user is hidden at once while we review it. A game reported by two or more signed-in users is hidden automatically. Our team is alerted about every new report.
- We remove content that breaks these rules, and we suspend or permanently ban accounts that post it. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban.
Child safety
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any content or behaviour that sexualises, grooms or endangers children. Such content is removed, the account is banned, and we report it to the relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. Report it in the app with the reason "Child safety", or email support@riffgame.com with the subject "Child safety". Child-safety reports are handled first.
Appeals
If you think we removed your game or restricted your account by mistake, email support@riffgame.com from the email address linked to your account, or include your account ID (shown at the bottom of the Me tab). A person will look at it again.
